Join the city of St. Albert for a lively daylong celebration of Canada’s 149th birthday, courtesy of Christenson Developments. Rotary Park and Riel Recreation Park will once again host a myriad of family-friendly activities, food vendors, and live entertainment for the entire community.   Kick off the morning with a pancake breakfast at École la Mission before heading to Rotary Park, where kids and parents can have a blast with face painting, crafts, games, inflatable playzones and a petting zoo. Celebrate Canada Day also invites everyone to a free outdoor concert and fireworks display at 11:00 p.m. Please arrive with a donation for our Food Bank.   ARRIVAL StAT is running a FREE shuttle service around town on July 1st. Guests may choose to park their vehicles on-site at Red Willow Trail or nearby at the St. Albert Centre’s Park ‘n Ride.   Visitors are also encouraged to explore the park’s beautiful outdoor trails by biking or walking to the event. VOLUNTEER Interested in helping Canada Day run as smoothly and positively as possible? We’re looking for enthusiastic, driven individuals willing to donate their time on July 1st at Rotary Park. Help us with the following tasks:

  • Parking and traffic direction
  • Distribution of SWAG as a Public Ambassador
  • Public hosting at our information booth
  • Program assistance with inflatables, crafts, games, cookies and face painting
  • Nighttime concert security
  • Stage hands

Sign-ups for mid-morning, afternoon and evening shifts are available. Volunteers may participate as individuals or in teams.
